Tennis For Kids delivers a range of Hot Shots Leagues and Teen Tennis fixture competitions at The Tennis Club. These programs are the ideal way to provide children with a chance to use the skills and technique they learn in coaching, helping generate rapid improvement and a stronger love for the game. Tennis For Kids fixtures focus on participation, sportsmanship and having fun. All programs are supervised by professional coaches, on hand to teach and guide children every step of the way.
Even if your child has never played a proper match before, friendly coaches ensure they don’t feel out of place, teaching children to score and walking them through how to play a proper match.
Played on a 3/4 size court, with low compression orange balls, Tennis For Kids Orange Ball Fixtures are the perfect introduction to match play for your child. Guided by our qualified coaches, children will be taught how to play and umpire a proper match. In the early weeks the children miss lots of serves, rallies are short and scores are forgotten by both players and umpires. However, over a full term, the improvement is dramatic and wonderful to see!
Each week children play 1 singles match, 1 doubles matches and umpire or ball boy/girl 1 match. All matches are timed to ensure fairness.
FRIDAY AFTERNOONS (NOW AT HILDER RD SS)
Tennis For Kids Green Ball Fixtures are played on a full court using 75% compression green balls. Catering to a variety of levels, Green Ball Fixtures can be used as a graduation from our Orange Ball Fixtures or as in introduction to fixtures for older children. Guided by qualified coaches, children in this program improve all areas of their
game but most noticeably their serve and consistency.
Each week children play 1 singles match, 1 doubles matches and umpire or ball boy/girl 1 match. All matches are timed to ensure fairness.
FRIDAY AFTERNOONS AT THE GAP TENNIS CLUB
Tennis For Kids Yellow Ball Fixtures are for older players that have progressed beyond the aid of modified balls. Each week children play 1 full set of singles and doubles. The format is designed to ensure children keep progressing their tennis in a fun and social environment.
